Calgary police arrest suspect in almost decade-old murder of Shane Johnson - Cochrane Times

Police have cracked a nine-year-old homicide case, charging a man with murder days after releasing video surveillance of a suspect.

Shane Johnson, 23, was fatally stabbed Jan. 25, 2004 in a parking lot following a minor verbal confrontation at the nearby NYLA nightclub in the 1200 block of 1 St. S.W., and later died in hospital.

Saturday, Yousuf Bikila, 33, was arrested in the 3700 17 Ave. S.W. and charged him with first-degree murder.
