Praising services of different organizations, PM Modi tweeted, "Our evacuation efforts in Yemen reflect willingness to serve our people & readiness to help others in distress, which is India's ethos."
Meanwhile, defence minister Manohar Parrikar said that almost all Indians would be rescued by Monday evening.
India has launched a massive exercise involving Air India and Navy to bring back all Indians who are stuck in the conflict zone in Yemen.
The defence minister had a word of praise for Navy.
"Indian Navy has been doing a great job,almost 3000 Indians stranded in Yemen have been evacuated," Manohar Parrikar said.
On Sunday, close to 700 nationals were evacuated.
Air India launched 'Operation Raahat' to pull out nationals trapped in several parts of Yemen amid raging fighting.
