The Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common was yesterday filled with hundreds of Bostonians who came around to keep vigil in honor of the victims of the city's marathon explosion. The vigil, according to a reliable source, was called, "Peace, Here and Everywhere".
The sympathetic vigil was observed with lit candles, banners and touching songs like: AMAZING GRACE which was sang by the choir. The mood of the vigil was really sorrowful and touching as some of the participants watched in silence with their lit candles.
A little boy was seen waving an American flag among the sympathizing crowd reminding them of the eight years old kid that died in the explosion. The vigil participants were allowed to write what they felt on a cloth banner that was spread on the ground. They wrote different views like: "Love destroys hatred." "We are Boston strong," "Peace," and many other good remarks.
Some of the participants were asked to air their diverse views about the vigil. According to one of the participants interviewed, she said she is happy to witness the nice gathering as it recurred to her how the inauguration was set off with patriotic spirit.
According to the description of the vigil on Facebook, the event would require no official protocol. The attendees were asked to come along with their banners, candles and flowers including hymn books and other items that would add gentle color to the vigil.
Members of Emerson College who were among the attendees suddenly tuned a soul touching song called, "Let it be."
One of the participants of the marathon run who was in the event, when asked, said that she was there to join other sympathizers to pray for the victims of Boston Marathon explosion. Of course, she looked somber and touched just like other attendees of the vigil, who were seen shedding tears and embracing their loved ones and friends.
