Pakistani police say at least 57 people died when a passenger bus collided with a oil tanker near the Pakistani port city of Karachi.
Police official Rao Muhammad Anwaar said the bus was overloaded with people riding on the roof when it ran into an oil tanker early on January 11 that was reportedly "speeding."
Anwaar said early reports suggest the oil tanker was driving in the wrong direction.
The bus was traveling from Karachi to Shikarpur when it collided head on with the tanker truck near Gulshan-e Hadeed.
Both vehicles burst into flames after the collision.
Officials said many of the victims' bodies had been incinerated by the high temperatures caused by the burning oil.
A bus crash in Karachi in November killed 58 people.
