The Thanksgiving holiday means banks, retail and grocery stores, and some city services will be closed or operating on a holiday schedule. Here's what to expect for the long weekend.
Most major supermarkets will be closed Monday, Oct. 13. The following will be open:
- Loblaws at 60 Carlton St., 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Metro at 444 Yonge St., 24 hours.
- Sobeys at 777 Bay St., 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- T&T Supermarkets at 7070 Warden Ave., 9225 Woodbine Ave., and 8339 Kennedy Rd., 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.; 1 Promenade Circ., 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- ARZ Fine Foods at 1909 Lawrence Ave. E., 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Galleria Supermarket at 7040 Yonge St., 24 hours.
- Whole Foods Yorkville at 87 Avenue Rd., 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed Monday. These wine and beer purveyors will be open:
- Wine Racks at 1235 Bay St. and 472 Yonge St.
- Amsterdam Brewery and Retail Store at 45 Esander Dr., 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Amsterdam Brewhouse and Retail Store at 245 Queens Quay W., 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Mill St. Retail Store at 21 Tank House Ln.
- Steamwhistle Brewing at 255 Bremner Blvd.
Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Fairview Mall, Scarborough Town Centre, Sherway Gardens, Bayview Village and Dufferin Mall will be closed Monday. These Toronto area malls will be open:
- Toronto Eaton Centre, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Square One, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Pacific Mall, regular hours
- Vaughan Mills, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
The AGO and all Toronto Public Library branches will be closed Monday.
The ROM, Ontario Science Centre, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, Toronto Zoo and movie theatres will be open as usual.
Employment and social services will be closed Monday.

TTC will be operating on a holiday schedule on Monday
On Monday, GO Transit will run according to its Sunday schedule.
FRONT ST. AND UNIVERSITY AVE.
The intersection will be closed to traffic from 1 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for construction in PATH as part of the Union Station Revitalization project.
Westbound off-ramps to Lake Shore Blvd. at Yonge St., Bay St., and York St. will be closed due to Gardiner repairs between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. daily until Oct. 24.
Two westbound lanes between Lower Jarvis St. and York St. will be blocked between until Nov. 5 due to Gardiner Expressway repairs.
The westbound curb lane at Parkside Dr. will be blocked until Oct. 25 for Hydro One power cable replacements.
The westbound curb lane at Park Lawn Rd. will be blocked from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until Oct. 17 for sidewalk and curb replacements.
